New Ambassador of Kazakhstan to Ukraine presents copies of credentials – MFA
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Yevhen Perebyinis received copies of credentials from the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Kazakhstan H.E. Mr. Tolezhan Barlybayev.
As reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Minister congratulated Tolezhan Barlybayev on the beginning of his third diplomatic cadence in Ukraine – this time as Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary and wished significant success in his important mission for the benefit of the two states and nations.
Perebyinis thanked for Kazakhstan’s support for the territorial integrity of Ukraine. Noting Astana’s commitment to the fundamental principles of international law and the UN Charter, he stressed the importance of establishing a comprehensive, just and lasting peace in Ukraine.
“The parties also discussed ways of intensifying bilateral political dialogue and deepening trade, economic, cultural, and humanitarian cooperation between the two countries,” the message reads.
On April 17, 2025, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev appointed Tolezhan Barlybayev as the new Ambassador of the Republic to Ukraine.
Earlier, he worked at the Kazakh embassies in Ukraine, Poland and the Netherlands. He held the position of head of the department of Europe and America, headed the secretariat of the Kazakh Foreign Ministry and worked at the Foreign Policy Center in the presidential administration.
In addition, Barlybyaev served as Kazakhstan's ambassador to Slovakia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Previously, the post of ambassador to Ukraine was held by Darhan Kaletaev for more than five years.
