State Regional Development Strategy needs to be updated – Kuleba
The State Regional Development Strategy should be updated taking into account the solvency of communities, the potential of regions and the war factor, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction of Ukraine, Minister for Development of Communities and Territories of Ukraine Oleksiy Kuleba said during his introduction in this position on Friday to the department's team by Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal.
He also called the update of the State Regional Development Strategy one of the foundations on which he will rely in his work.
"It is important to update the State Regional Development Strategy, which provides for functional territories and individual regional policies, will take into account the solvency of communities, the humanitarian, social, infrastructural, demographic potential of regions and the influence of the war factor. We will continue the reform of local government with increased efficiency of management, coordination and interaction in war conditions. Taking into account all possible threats and challenges of wartime – both today and in the future," he said.
The newly appointed minister also named constant interaction between all branches of government and stakeholders, European integration, restoration, transparency and accountability among the foundations.
