Ukraine's cattle slaughter volume in April 2025 totaled 16,800 tonnes, down 3% from March and 16% lower than in April 2024, according to the Association of Milk Producers (AMP), citing data from the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food.
The AMP noted that cattle slaughter volume from January to April 2025 stood at 60,900 tonnes – 10% less than in the same period of 2024.
The majority of the animals (62%) were slaughtered at agricultural enterprises located in Vinnytsia (219,900 tonnes), Cherkasy (146,600 tonnes), Dnipropetrovsk (124,500 tonnes), Lviv (72,200 tonnes), and Kyiv (63,800 tonnes) regions.
