Nine hotels opened or renovated in Ukraine in H1 2025, adding over 1,000 rooms

From January to June 2025, nine hotels with a combined total of more than 1,000 rooms were opened or renovated across various regions of Ukraine, Anastasia Fedirko, manager of real estate advisory services at EY Ukraine, told Interfax-Ukraine.
New openings include: Panorama Skhidnytsya SPA Resort in Lviv region (71 rooms), Mayak Resort in Kyiv (82 rooms), Tulip Residences in Lviv (73 rooms), Archotel Avenue in Odesa (334 rooms), Edem Kyiv in Kyiv region (35 rooms), and Mini-hotel Liubych in Lviv (31 rooms).
Reopenings after renovation include Optima Collection River Park in Lutsk; Holiday Inn Kyiv, which resumed partial operations after a missile strike (77 of its 208 rooms repaired); and the Zatoka Aquapark hotel in Odesa, which had suspended operations since 2021 (243 rooms).
"The Carpathian region shows a high concentration of new income-producing real estate projects, particularly apart-hotels and cottage complexes with rental or commercial models aimed at domestic investors and tourists," Fedirko noted.
According to EY's research, at least 10 more hotels totaling about 2,000 rooms are planned to open by the end of 2025, most of them in western Ukraine. Notable upcoming projects include Glacier Premium Apartments by VD Group (810 rooms) and six projects from Ribas Hotels Group.
In 2024, work began on the new GORO Mountain Resort ski complex near Volosianka and Verkhnia Rozhanka in Lviv region. According to the developer, the project will include 25 hotels totaling 5,150 rooms over the next 15 years, alongside ski and recreational facilities.
Ribas Hotels Group has announced openings in Bukovel of Melis (337 rooms) and Malahit Resort & SPA (52 rooms) by late 2026, and AHNI Moon Resort (143 rooms) in 2027. Mykola Kmit is developing a 200-room hotel project in Truskavets, slated to open between 2027 and 2028.
"Special attention should be paid to the announced Kavalier Park Apartment project by Onur Group, which introduces a new concept to Lviv—a premium residential complex with hotel-style units. The Turkish developer is investing EUR 35 million in the city's first residential complex with a dedicated section of 61 short-term stay rooms," Fedirko said. The project is scheduled for completion in 2026.
