Ukraine's Ministry of Finance plans to pass 2026 without tax hikes, counting on removing economy from shadows, rebooting of fiscal bodies
The draft state budget of Ukraine for 2026 will be built on the basis of ensuring a stable ratio of budget revenues to GDP, Finance Minister Serhiy Marchenko said.
"The key task for us now is to ensure a stable ratio of budget revenues to GDP," he said at the presentation of the draft Government Action Program in Kyiv on Monday.
Marchenko noted that there will be new difficult discussions with the International Monetary Fund team ahead.
"We will convince that due to steps to remove the economy from shadows, due to many expectations from rebooting fiscal bodies, we will be able to expect to preserve the share of revenues – this is a key task," the minister said.
He clarified that the Ministry of Finance has not planned any other decisions, including tax hikes, as of today
