Ukraine secures EUR 113 mln in energy aid in last three months, another EUR 33.1 mln declared – Dpty Minister of Energy

The volume of international financing for equipment for the needs of the energy sector in the 100 days of the government’s work amounted to EUR 113 million, another EUR 33.1 million has been declared for provision, Deputy Minister of Energy Mykola Kolisnyk reported.

"In order to provide emergency crews with all the necessary equipment, it is important to maintain constant, intensive communication with international partners. I would like to note that an additional EUR 113 million has been allocated in the last 100 days of the government’s term. Additionally, we have confirmed applications from partner countries for an additional EUR 33.1 million," Kolisnyk said during a briefing at Ukrinform on Tuesday.

He added that work with international partners continues and that new support programs are emerging that will be important in the autumn-winter season.

Kolisnyk also indicated that an important area of cooperation is receiving humanitarian aid when countries allocate equipment directly.

"In fact, during this time, we have received 86 cargoes of aid totaling approximately 1,126 tonnes from 14 countries," the Deputy Head of the Ministry of Energy explained.
