DTEK initiates creation of coalition of those willing to quickly rebuild Ukraine's energy sector – CEO

Energy holding DTEK is initiating the creation of a Coalition of those willing to quickly restore Ukraine's energy system, one of whose main projects is the construction of the Poltava Wind Farm, DTEK CEO Maksym Tymchenko announced.

"Our position is that Ukraine's recovery should begin with new products that we and other investors will be implementing starting in 2022. Therefore, today we are creating the so-called Coalition of Those Wishing to Quickly Restore Ukraine's Energy Grid in order to build an even larger wind farm in Ukraine, which we spent three years developing (the 600 MW Poltava Wind Farm – ER), and which is now ready for operation," Tymchenko said in a video interview with Bloomberg, which he posted on his LinkedIn.

Furthermore, according to Tymchenko, the Coalition is considering projects such as battery energy storage systems, as well as ultra-deep well drilling for American partners to unlock Ukraine's enormous gas production potential.

"Therefore, all these areas of the energy sector are open to partnership. And this is, in essence, the philosophy of our company, one of the best local partners in Ukraine, to, as I have already said, unlock the enormous potential in our energy sector," noted DTEK CEO.
