Zaporizhkoks allocates UAH 4.3 mln to restore one of its regenerators

PJSC Zaporizhkoks, one of Ukraine's largest producers of coke-chemical products, has invested UAH 4.3 million in a major overhaul to ensure stable operation of the plant's regenerator.

According to the company, Zaporizhkoks has completed a capital repair of Regenerator No. 6 in the recovery shop. A contractor carried out a comprehensive overhaul of the regenerator's foundation metal structures, installed new reinforcement segments for the casing, and added structural stiffeners.

The project also included replacement of the roof's metal structures with fencing and internal protective lining, as well as upgrades to the slurry pipeline and air duct. The total investment in the overhaul amounted to nearly UAH 4.3 million.

Maksym Shapovalov, head of the recovery shop, explained that regenerator overhauls at the plant are performed on a scheduled basis.

"This is a technically complex process lasting nearly nine months, involving restoration of both external structures and internal lining. The regenerator's technical readiness for uninterrupted, efficient operation without failures directly determines the stability of the recovery shop's technological process and the plant's overall performance. That is why Zaporizhkoks prioritizes a systematic approach to repairs, continuous monitoring of equipment condition, improving energy efficiency, and implementing modern technical solutions," he noted.

The coke gas desulfurization unit (formerly the sulfur removal shop) of the recovery shop ensures purification of coke gas and production of gas sulfur. Stable operation of this equipment allows for high-quality purification of coke gas, which is used to heat coke batteries and power plant boilers, critical for the continuity and stability of the entire production process.

This year, Zaporizhkoks plans a capital overhaul of Regenerator No. 7. In total, 12 such units are in operation at the shop.

Zaporizhkoks operates a full technological cycle for processing coke-chemical products.

According to the National Securities and Stock Market Commission (NSSMC), as of Q4 2025, Dashuria Ltd. (Cyprus) owns 94.9565% of the company's shares.
