Ukrtelecom, Ukraine’s largest fixed-line operator, and Kyivstar, the country’s largest national electronic communications operator, have joined the European telecommunications professionals’ community ETIS, the association said in a statement.

"Joining ETIS gives us the opportunity to share hands-on experience in supporting and restoring critical infrastructure under extreme conditions and, together with our European partners, to strengthen secure and resilient digital infrastructure across Europe," Ukrtelecom CEO Yuriy Kurmaz said in the release.

According to the statement, participation in the community enables broader dialogue with European operators, including working groups, joint benchmarking initiatives (notably TeBIT), and industry events.

ETIS explained its interest in cooperation by highlighting that the Ukrainian operators’ expertise spans network resilience, continuity of digital services, infrastructure restoration, cybersecurity, and large-scale operational transformation.

Ukrtelecom increased its revenue by 5.6% year-on-year in January–September 2025 to UAH 3.8 billion, while EBITDA rose by 6.6% to UAH 906 million. Revenue from optical internet services grew by 11.3%.

The operator reported that more than 3,500 kilometers of fiber-optic lines were laid in January–September 2025. Since the start of the full-scale invasion, more than 20,000 kilometers of fiber have been built, enabling 1.4 million households to connect to optical internet. Overall, optical internet is now available to more than 3.3 million users.

Kyivstar served 22.5 million mobile subscribers in the third quarter of 2025, down 3.6% from a year earlier. At the same time, the number of 4G customers increased by 2.4% to 15 million.

In the third quarter of 2025, the company posted EBITDA of UAH 7.1 billion, up 21.5% year-on-year. In dollar terms, EBITDA increased by 20.4% to $171 million.
