During her visit to Salt Lake City, First Lady Olena Zelenska met with entrepreneurs and philanthropists and told them about the consequences of the Russian shelling on July 8, which, in particular, destroyed one of the buildings of the Okhmatdyt Children's Hospital in Kyiv.

"This brutal attack once again demonstrates that Ukraine needs the attention and support of the world. We need your help to save lives and recover. My mission now is not only to bring the truth about the events in Ukraine to the world, but also to actively participate in the restoration of my country and help Ukrainians," the press service of the President of Ukraine quoted Zelenska's statement.

She told how, thanks to cooperation with American patrons, the projects of the Olena Zelenska Foundation are being implemented to equip school shelters, provide students with gadgets for distance education, build houses for large foster families and create educational classes based on hospitals - Superhero Schools.

"Such a school was in Okhmatdyt on Monday morning. But it's gone. One classroom was completely destroyed after the direct arrival of the rocket. Another one - the educational space for preschoolers - is significantly damaged. Children and teachers, fortunately, were not injured. The Foundation has committed itself to restore the destroyed educational space at the Okhmatdyt hospital," the first lady said.
