On Wednesday, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a conversation with Ukrainian athletes who will take part in the Summer Olympic Games, which will be held in Paris from July 26 to August 11.

"I talked to our Olympians. With the Ukrainian team, which will represent our country and our Ukrainian people at the Summer Games in Paris this week. These are already achievements of Ukrainians – that during such a war and full-scale Russian terror, we still prepared, we still take part in the Olympics. Our banner and the Ukrainian anthem will be in France on a par with all life-respecting nations that respect the principles of Olympism," he said in an evening video message.

The Head of State thanked everyone who defended the principles of Olympism from distortion and did not allow flags at the Olympics and the participation of a terrorist state.

"Putin is making it so that the only Russian sport today is killing people. And the world will never tolerate it. Russia must lose the war, lose the terror. Then life wins. We are doing everything for this," the President concluded.
