Russian troops fired mortars at five settlements in Sumy and Chernihiv regions, carried out 13 airstrikes in Kharkiv region from the beginning of the day and as of 16:00 on Thursday, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported.

"The border settlements of Sumy and Chernihiv regions continue to suffer from cynical shelling from the territory of the Russian Federation. Five settlements were subjected to enemy mortar attacks. In particular, Studenok, Novovasylyivka, Slavhorod, Velyka Pysarivka and Oleksandrivka," the General Staff said in a Facebook post.

It is reported that Kharkiv region is also under enemy air attacks. "Since the beginning of the day, from the Russian cities of Belgorod and Shebekino, the Russians have launched 13 airstrikes using 28 guided bombs. They aimed at the areas of the Ukrainian settlements of Vesele, Lyptsi, Hlyboke, Starytsia, Vovchanski Khutory, Ruska Lozova and Pytomnyk."
