The U.S. government has announced a new security assistance package for Ukraine in the amount of up to $ 200 million, said John Kirby, a representative of the White House National Security Council, Voice of America reports.

The package will reportedly include air defense systems, HIMARS artillery ammunition, as well as mortar shells and Javelin anti-tank missiles.

The U.S. Department of Defense indicated that the assistance package includes ammunition for anti-aircraft missile systems (NASAMS); short- and medium-range ammunition for air defense; RIM-7 missiles for air defense; electronic warfare; ammunition for highly mobile artillery missile systems (HIMARS).

The United States is also transferring 155-mm and 105-mm artillery shells to Ukraine; 120-mm mortar shells; high-precision aviation ammunition; optical guided missiles (TOW); Javelin and AT-4 anti-tank systems; small arms; explosives, demolition equipment and ammunition; secure communication systems; commercial satellite services and spare parts, maintenance and support, as well as other auxiliary equipment.
