The adviser to the head of the President's Office, Mykhailo Podoliak, called the information about Ukraine's receipt of the first batch of F-16 fighters from Western allies a speculation and urged to refer to official sources.

"I see that this is displayed as an informational speculation. I would like there to be less of it. However, you should always pay attention to official comments... I advise you to wait for official confirmation from one side or the other," Podoliak said on the air if the national telethon on Thursday.

He noted that there was not a single link to an official source in the Western mass media and said that only the President of Ukraine and the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces can provide such information.

The adviser to the head of the President's Office emphasized that the Ukrainian side will not say "yes" or "no" regarding this information, since the aviation component is "a factor of essential survival." According to him, during the war, it is inappropriate to divulge such information, since it can affect both the battlefield and society's perception of the problems faced by the army in confrontation with the enemy.
