The Armed Forces of Ukraine have captured more than 100 Russian servicemen in Kursk region and have advanced in different directions by 1-2 km since the beginning of the day, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said on Wednesday following the report of Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky.

"We are advancing further in Kursk region. From one to two kilometers in different areas since the beginning of the day. And more than 100 more Russians have been captured during the same period. I am grateful to everyone involved. This will speed up the return of our guys home," Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram.

Syrsky, in turn, reported to the head of state on the completion of the destruction of the enemy group in the city of Sudzha in Kursk region. "The search for and destruction of the enemy in the settlement of Sudzha has been completed," he said in his report to Zelenskyy.
