Defense forces eliminate 1,330 occupiers over day - General Staff
Ukrainian defenders destroyed 1,330 Russian military personnel, 12 tanks, 35 armored vehicles, 59 artillery systems, five multiple rocket launchers, 61 drones, one cruise missile, 89 units of cars and special equipment, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported on enemy losses over the past day on Facebook.
"The total combat losses of the enemy from February 24, 2022 to August 16, 2024 approximately amount to: about 596,950 of military personnel (plus 1,330) people, 8,496 tanks (plus 12) units, 16,461 armored combat vehicles (plus 35) units, 16,927 artillery systems (plus 59) units, 1,159 MLRS units (plus five) units, 922 units of air defense equipment, 367 aircraft units, 328 helicopters, 13,659 operational-tactical UAVs (plus 61), 2,429 cruise missiles (plus one), 28 ships/boats, one submarine, 22,848 motor vehicles and tankers (plus 73) units, and 2,829 units of special equipment (plus 16)," the summary says.
