Participation in the pilot project of state grants has already been confirmed by 143 institutions of higher education, the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine has reported.

According to the report, today 143 public and private institutions from different regions of Ukraine have joined the pilot project on the introduction of state grants, but the list of universities is constantly updated and will gradually increase.

The ministry recalled that in 2024, applicants for the contract will be able to receive a state grant for the first higher education from UAH 15,000 or more per year to cover part of the tuition fee.

As reported, on July 18, the Cabinet of Ministers approved the launch of a pilot project to provide state grants for higher education. The state grant is an opportunity for applicants who will receive their first higher education under a contract to receive from UAH 15,000 or more per year to cover part of the tuition fee.

On March 20, the Verkhovna Rada supported at the first reading bill No. 10399 on the reform of higher education financing.
