15-year-old teenager, wounded due to shelling of cafe in Zaporizhia region, dies
A 15-year-old teenager who was injured as a result of a strike by Russian troops on a children's cafe in the village of Malokaterynivka, Zaporizhia region, died during intensive care, the Prosecutor General’s Office (PGO) reports.
According to the investigation, at about 17:40 on August 20, Russian troops fired on a suburb of Zaporizhia.
As a result of an enemy shell hitting a recreation facility located near the playground of the village of Malokaterynivka, Zaporizhia district, an 18-year-old girl and four children aged 11, 14, 15 and 17 were injured.
As noted in the PGO, a 15-year-old teenager died during intensive care.
Data on the victims are being clarified now.
"Another crime of Russia beyond humanity. We will not stop until the perpetrators of this criminal aggression are brought to justice," Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin said.
As noted, under the procedural guidance of Zaporizhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, a pre-trial investigation has been launched into criminal proceedings on the fact of violation of the laws and customs of war (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
As reported, as a result of the Russian shelling of Zaporizhia region on Tuesday, August 20, four children and an 18-year-old girl were injured.
