Defense Minister of Ukraine Rustem Umerov discussed the security situation and the needs of the security and defense sector during a meeting of heads of foreign diplomatic institutions of Ukraine.

"We have already proved that we are capable of doing the impossible. Our task is to expand the list of possibilities. We must follow the instructions of the president - restrictions on the use of long-range Western-made weapons must be lifted. The enemy must be destroyed from where he commits terror," Umerov said.

According to him, among the key areas of diplomatic work are strengthening air defense, developing electronic warfare and ensuring a stable supply of shock systems and armored vehicles.

Umerov also noted that he pointed out the importance of localizing the production of weapons in Ukraine, attracting investments in domestic manufacturers and financing the production of weapons within the framework of international military assistance packages.

"The world hears our voice and sees us as a reliable partner. We must make the most of all opportunities to strengthen our defense capability and effectively counter the aggressor," the Defense Minister concluded.
