Ukraine strictly observes intl humanitarian law in Kursk region – Vereschuk
Ukraine strictly observes the norms of international humanitarian law in military operations in the Kursk region of the Russian Federation, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Reintegration of the Temporarily Occupied Territories of Ukraine Iryna Vereschuk has said on Thursday.
"The Ukrainian side strictly observes the norms of international humanitarian law in the operation in the Kursk region," the press service of the ministry quoted her as saying following a meeting of the Commission on International Humanitarian Law.
During the meeting, the head of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine informed the participants of the meeting about the creation of a military commandant's office and its role in ensuring law and order in the controlled territories.
In particular, the Armed Forces of Ukraine provide assistance to the local population with water, food, medicine, and medical care.
