Klymenko: Interior Ministry employs 580 caregivers for veterans
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Ukraine currently employs 580 caregivers for veterans, who have undergone selection, training, and practice, according to Minister of Internal Affairs Ihor Klymenko.
"As of today, we have 580 veteran caregivers in our system. We selected them, trained them, and they underwent practice. When a veteran accesses their personal veteran account, they immediately see information about their assigned caregiver, including a phone number," Klymenko said at the seventh Annual International Veterans Forum "Ukraine. Veterans. Unity" in Kyiv on Thursday.
The minister said each caregiver is permanently assigned to a veteran.
Additionally, ten people work at the contact center for social protection issues, who were trained directly by veterans who had undergone treatment and rehabilitation in medical centers.
"The veterans trained them, asked questions, and as a result, we have elevated our center's work to a level where people clearly know the answers to the questions that concern our veterans," Klymenko said.
