Zelenskyy: Russia fires more than hundred missiles and around a hundred Shaheds at Ukraine
Russia launched one of the largest attacks on Ukraine this morning, using more than a hundred missiles of various types and around a hundred Shahed kamikaze drones, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said on Monday.
"The liquidation of the damage caused by the Russian attack is underway throughout the country. This was one of the most massive strikes – a combined one. More than a hundred missiles of various types and around a hundred Shaheds. Just as most of Russia's previous strikes, this one was also coward and targeted at the civilian infrastructure," he said in a video address.
The head of state also said that Russia attacked most of Ukraine's regions, from Kharkiv region and Kyiv to Odesa and western regions. There are victims and dozens of injured people as a result of the attack. Those injured are receiving necessary care, he said.
The energy system was also damaged multiple times during the enemy attack. Restoration works are underway everywhere where power outages were introduced, Zelenskyy said.
"Our repair teams will work around-the-clock. We will restore the power supply. In all cities and communities which needs this. The Invincibility Centers must be open now," he said.
