Yermak, US Vice President's Foreign Policy Advisor discuss strengthening of Ukrainian air defense, number of combat aircraft
During his visit to the United States, Head of the President's Office of Ukraine Andriy Yermak met with U.S. Vice President's Foreign Policy Advisor Philip Gordon and discussed with him, in particular, the issues of arms supplies and strengthening air defense.
As the presidential press service said on Saturday, the meeting was also attended by Ukrainian Ambassador to the United States Oksana Markarova, Deputy Head of the President's Office Mykola Tochytsky and Advisor to the Head of the President's Office Daria Zarivna.
"The President's Office head noted: in the context of the intensification of missile terrorism by Russia, it is important for Ukraine to receive the necessary weapons and equipment as soon as possible," the office said.
The interlocutors also discussed strengthening Ukrainian air defense, increasing the number of artillery and combat aircraft, forming new brigades and meeting their needs, and implementing the Peace Formula.
Yermak thanked U.S. Vice President Kamala Harris for participating in the first Peace Summit, and also for the fact that, despite preparations for the elections, she and her team are closely monitoring the process of implementing the Peace Formula.
