Mi-2 helicopter crashes in Ukraine during training flight, killing two pilots
A Mi-2 helicopter crashed during a training flight in the university's aviation training brigade, killing two pilots, the Ivan Kozhedub Kharkiv National University of the Air Force reported.
"A Mi-2 helicopter crashed during a training flight in the university's aviation training brigade. The university family suffered an irreparable loss - the crew of two people died," the Facebook post reads.
It is noted that investigators, experts, and specialists from a special commission of the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine are working at the scene.
The command of the university and the military unit are doing everything possible to facilitate a detailed analysis and establishment of the causes of the aviation accident.
"Until the results of the investigation are made public, we ask you to refrain from assumptions and comments, and to treat the disclosure of sensitive information with understanding in accordance with established procedures and ethical standards," the university emphasized.
