Zelenskyy: Islamic cultural center in one of mosques in Kyiv suffers significant damage as result of missile strike

As a result of the Russian strike on the capital, an Islamic cultural center in one of the mosques suffered significant damage, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy said.

"This is one of Ukraine's Islamic Cultural Centers in a Kyiv mosque, which was severely damaged in the Russian missile strike on our capital this morning. Russia has no regard for spiritual or human values, and no respect for any religion or faith. They continue their destruction campaign against the Ukrainian people, attempting to destroy all of our communities and even sacred places of worship," Zelenskyy wrote on the social network X on Monday.

The president recalled that overnight, the Russian Federation launched 35 missiles, including ballistic missiles, and 23 drones at Ukraine.

"The world must see that Russia's war is not only against Ukraine, but also against humanity, dignity, and human life," Zelenskyy stressed.

He added that Russia's barbaric actions have no place in the modern world. And the international community must resolutely condemn them and respond with harsh actions.

"We must all stand together to oppose Russian aggression and demand the restoration of a just peace based on the Peace Formula and the UN Charter," the Ukrainian president concluded.
