AFU General Staff: 31 attacks by occupiers recorded in Pokrovsk, 32 in Kurakhove axes
Since the beginning of the day, 107 combat clashes have been recorded along the entire frontline, the most intense are in Pokrovsk and Kurakhove axes, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reports the situation as of 16:00.
"Currently, the number of combat clashes has increased to 107. The hottest ones are now in Pokrovsk and Kurakhove axes. The defense forces are taking all necessary measures to prevent the enemy from advancing deep into Ukrainian territory," the General Staff said in the report on Facebook on Wednesday.
The General Staff called the situation in Pokrovsk axis tense. "There are fierce battles in the areas of Vozdvyzhenka, Zelene Pole, Novohrodivka, Hrodivka, Selydove, Mykolaivka and Myroliubivka. The enemy has now stormed our positions 31 times. Fighting continues in eight locations. Also, enemy aircraft carried out strikes near the settlements of Oleksandropil and Selydove, using UABs and unguided air-to-air missiles," the General Staff said.
It is reported that a difficult situation is being observed in Kurakhove axis. There, the enemy has attacked units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine 32 times since the beginning of the day. They tried to advance near Krasnohorivka, Heorhiivka and Kostiantynivka.
Russian forces are not abandoning their attempts to break through the defense of the Armed Forces of Ukraine in the northern direction. Thus, near Ivano-Daryivka, the occupiers once tried to push back our units, but were rebuffed.
In Kramatorsk axis, since the beginning of the day, Russian troops have once tried to dislodge the Defense Forces from their positions. The enemy also launched an attack with unguided air-to-air missiles on Chasiv Yar.
"In Toretsk axis, the enemy, with the support of attack and bomber aircraft, attacked the positions of our troops eight times. At present, a combat clash is ongoing near New York," the General Staff said.
In Vremivka axis, two assaults by the Russian Army towards Vodiane and Kostiantynivka were repelled.
In Robotyne area in Orikhiv axis, the occupiers once tried to advance forward, but were harshly rebuffed.
According to the report, the occupiers continue to launch air strikes and carry out artillery shelling of the border areas of Sumy and Chernihiv regions.
"At present, there are five known air strikes with the use of 11 guided aerial bombs. In particular, the enemy's strikes hit areas of populated areas such as Sumy, Tokari, Nova Sloboda, Yampil and Yunakivka. The following populated areas were subjected to artillery shelling: Sydorivka, Novovasylyivka, Slavhorod, Popivka, Vysoke, Pokrovka, Boiaro-Lezhachi, Zarichia, Dmytrivka, Mykhalchyna Sloboda and Chuikivka," the AFU said.
In the Kharkov direction, one clash has occurred since the beginning of the day near Vovchansk, which is currently ongoing. In the Kupyansk direction, Russian troops have attempted to storm Ukrainian positions 14 times near Sin'kovka, Glushkovka, Lozovaya, Berestovoye and Myasozharovka, the fighting continues.
In the Liman direction, the enemy attacked in the areas of Druzhelyubovka, Grekovka, Makeyevka, Novosadovye, Nevsky and Torsky. In total, there have been 11 combat clashes in this direction since the beginning of the day, four are still ongoing. "Five enemy attacks have been repelled in the Dnieper direction, the enemy has not had any success," the General Staff reports.
