Kyivsky District Court of Odesa has ruled to detain one of the participants of the illegal transportation of Ukrainian MP Artem Dmytruk across the state border.

"Kyivsky District Court of Odesa selected a measure of restraint in the form of detention for two months for one of the participants in the organization of illegal transportation of an MP across the state border. The suspect has an alternative to post a UAH 5 million bail," the State Bureau of Investigations (SBI) said on Wednesday.

It recalled that on August 23, 2024, the MP, suspected of attacks on citizens, illegally crossed the border of Ukraine with the Republic of Moldova in the area of the Pavlivka checkpoint.

According to the investigation, he was helped by three accomplices. They are notified of suspicion of assisting in the illegal transfer of persons across the state border of Ukraine.

"Two, including the organizer, fled Ukraine, and one was detained," the SBI said.

According to the message, this person controlled and informed the accomplices about the presence of patrols near the checkpoint where the escape took place.

The report does not specify the name of the MP. However, judging by the case background, it is about Artem Dmytruk (Restoration of Ukraine group).
