URCS provides food packages to vulnerable residents of Kherson
The Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) provides food packages to vulnerable residents of Kherson.
"We regularly distribute food packages in different areas of the city. This initiative is important because it helps people not to feel alone. Despite the constant shelling and danger, we work because we know that people wait for us," Svitlana Scherbyna, coordinator of the World Food Programme in the URCS Kherson regional organization, said.
As the URCS reported on Facebook on Wednesday, last week alone, Kherson residents received almost 4,300 food packages.
Volunteers of the Kherson regional organization of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society, as part of cooperation with the World Food Programme, deliver food packages to people aged 60+ and people with disabilities.
One food set weighing 13 kg includes cereals, pasta, flour, canned meat, butter, sugar, salt and beans.
