Umerov urges Lithuanian businesses to actively invest in Ukrainian defense industry
Ukrainian Defense Minister Rustem Umerov and Lithuanian President Gitanas Nausėda opened the Lithuanian-Ukrainian defense industry business forum in Kyiv.
"I thanked the Lithuanian people for their support and called on businesses to actively invest in the Ukrainian defense industry. Today's forum is a new stage of our cooperation. Together with our allies, we can do even more to protect Europe and punish the aggressor," Umerov wrote on Facebook.
He recalled that Lithuania intends to provide EUR10 million to finance Ukraine's long-range capabilities, in particular the Palianytsia rocket-drone.
"Lithuania has already helped Ukraine with 2% of its own GDP and aims to continue this support at the level of 0.25% of the country's GDP annually," the minister added.
