Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Andriy Sybiha had a phone conversation with his Italian counterpart Antonio Tajani during which he expressed Ukraine's interest in decommissioned Italian equipment.

"Friendly call with Antonio Tajani. Thanked Italy for its strong G7 Presidency and support for Ukraine. Discussed the expediting of Italy's next military aid package and the strengthening of Ukraine's air shield. I also expressed our interest in decommissioned Italian equipment," Sybiha said on the X social network on Thursday.

The parties noted good perspectives for further cooperation between the countries' defense industries.

"We also coordinated positions ahead of UNGA High-Level Week. On the bilateral front, we discussed the issue of Ukrainian children who fled Russian aggression to temporarily reside in Italy," the Ukrainian minister said.
