The leader of the European Solidarity party, MP Petro Poroshenko met with Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković to discuss the urgent needs of the Ukrainian army and support for Ukraine on the path of European and Euro-Atlantic integration, the party has said on Thursday.
"We exchanged views on approaches to further strategy and our common victory. I thanked for another aid package for Ukraine, which is extremely important at this critical stage. I expressed hope for Croatia's proactive position on Ukraine's path to the EU and NATO, because only this will mean a real victory and the most effective response to Russian aggression both today and in the future," Poroshenko was quoted as saying.
"Of course, we also discussed the situation in Ukraine, the importance of strengthening democracy, the rule of law, media freedom, multiparty parliamentarism," the politician added.
