Klitschko, Mayor of Berlin discuss assistance to Kyiv's critical infrastructure
During a meeting with Mayor of Berlin Kai Wegner and Speaker of the Berlin Parliament Cornelia Seibeld, Mayor of Kyiv Vitali Klitschko discussed issues of cooperation and further assistance to Kyiv.
"We discussed the assistance that Kyiv needs for the functioning of critical infrastructure next winter, which will be difficult. Because Russia is trying to destroy and constantly shells infrastructure facilities. Kai Wegner promised that Berlin will consider all possibilities to transfer a batch of electric generators to Kyiv," Klitschko wrote on Telegram.
The meeting also discussed issues of equipping the Prosthetics Center, which is being built in Kyiv.
"In particular, with Mayor Wegner we detailed further steps for equipping and the upcoming work of the "Berlin-Kyiv Prosthetics Center", which we will open in Kyiv this fall. This is an important project that we are implementing on the basis of one of the municipal hospitals in Kyiv with the help of the Berlin City Hall and the non-governmental organization Life Bridge Ukraine," Klitschko noted.
Earlier, Klitschko agreed with Wegner on the construction of an innovative Berlin-Kyiv Prosthetics Center in the Ukrainian capital, as well as on prosthetics for Ukrainian wounded in Berlin.
