Poland to persuade Ukraine's partners to lift restrictions on use of foreign weapons – PA declaration Ukraine-Poland

Poland will make every effort to persuade its partners to lift restrictions on the use of weapons provided by them by Ukraine.

"The Republic of Poland is constantly working to mobilize international partners for the urgent supply of weapons to Ukraine and the need to make every effort to ensure that international partners lift all restrictions on the use of weapons that they have provided to Ukraine," Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Olena Kondratiuk quoted the declaration of the Parliamentary Assembly "Ukraine-Poland" on Facebook on Tuesday.

According to her, the declaration was signed by her and Vice Marshal of the Sejm of Poland Monika Wielichowska.

The declaration condemns the abduction of Ukrainian children by Russia and Belarus for the purpose of their illegal adoption and Russification.

"Such actions by Russia and the Republic of Belarus, cooperating with it, are a shameful attack on Ukrainian identity, violate the UN Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide, as well as the Convention on the Rights of the Child, initiated by the Republic of Poland," the document notes.

As Kondratiuk said, the PA participants also spoke in favor of bringing to justice those guilty of military and other international crimes committed by Russia during its armed aggression against Ukraine.

The declaration says Poland's support for efforts to fully restore the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within its internationally recognized borders as of 1991 and recognizes Ukraine's inalienable right to self-defense, guaranteed by Article 51 of the UN Charter, as a fundamental right of every sovereign state.

The document also recorded Ukraine's commitment to continuing the course of reforms and Poland's continued support on Ukraine's path to membership in the European Union and NATO.
