Zelenskyy on Putin's nuclear threats: I think he should be afraid to use nuclear weapons

No one knows what is in Vladimir Putin's head, but he loves his life and should be afraid to use nuclear weapons, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy believes.

"No one knows what's in his [Putin's] head, really. He can use nuclear weapons in any country, at any time, or not. I'm not sure that he [Putin] will do it [use nuclear weapons]," Zelenskyy said in an interview with Fox News.

The President noted that he could not speak for sure, because Putin "is not always adequate," as "adequate people cannot just come to Ukraine and do what he did."

"He [Putin] loves his life, I think, the way of life and the way he directs the lives of others ... And that's why I think he should be afraid to use nuclear weapons," Zelenskyy stressed.

As reported, on September 25, Vladimir Putin proposed to expand state policy on the use of nuclear weapons. "In the updated version of the document, aggression against Russia by any non-nuclear state, but with the participation or support of a nuclear state, is proposed to be considered as their joint attack on the Russian Federation," Putin said.
