Zelenskyy allows active military to be employed in Veterans Ministry

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy allowed, if necessary, to involve active military personnel in the Ministry of Veterans Affairs.

According to Presidential Decree No. 676/2024 of September 30, some positions in the Ministry of Veterans Affairs can now, if vacant, be filled by servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and other military formations with retention in military service and without exclusion from the lists of personnel.

In particular, the document amends the lists of positions that can be held by servicemen of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, other military formations, law enforcement officers of special purpose in government agencies, enterprises, institutions, organizations, as well as state and municipal educational institutions.

"Nothing for veterans without veterans! Now Ukrainian veterans and female veterans who serve in the military, and other active military personnel can be involved in the work of the Ministry of Veterans and take a direct part in the development and implementation of important initiatives for the veteran community," the press service of the Ministry of Veterans quoted Natalia Kalmykova, Minister of Veterans Affairs, as saying.
