URCS volunteers working at site of Russian night shelling in Odesa
Volunteers of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) provided assistance and evacuated those injured as a result of the Russian shelling of Odesa overnight.
“The Odesa emergency response team of the Ukrainian Red Cross worked at the scene alongside first responders from the State Emergency Service of Ukraine and the National Police. Volunteers provided first aid to five people and psychological first aid to three, and they participated in the joint evacuation of victims,” URCS said on Facebook Friday.
URCS volunteers also participated in the evacuation of victims. The rescue operations were complicated by a repeated air raid alarm and the threat of new shelling.
As reported, as a result of the attack of Russian troops on Odesa with ballistic missiles on Friday night, four people were killed and 10 were injured, nine of whom were hospitalized.
