One civilian killed, eight wounded; two vessels, grain warehouse damaged due to Russian attack on port of Odesa

As a result of the shelling by the Russians of the port of Odesa, one person died, eight were injured, and two vessels and a grain warehouse were also damaged, Deputy Prime Minister for Reconstruction, Minister of Community Development, Territory and Infrastructure Oleksiy Kuleba said.

"On October 14, Russia once again shelled the port of Odesa. As a result of the attack, one person died, eight more were injured. All are civilians," he wrote on Telegram.

"The dry cargo ship under the flag of Palau, Optima, has been also damaged for the second time! A week ago, this ship was already damaged as a result of ballistic shelling. Then the foreigners - crew members - were injured," Kuleba noted.

The second damaged ship is NS Moon, which sails under the flag of Belize, Kuleba said.

In addition, a grain warehouse, cargo cranes, warehouses, equipment, buildings of the Seaport Administration branch, and cars were damaged during the attack.

"The enemy once again reports about allegedly hitting military objects. In reality, they are all the same: civilian vessels, granaries, terminals. The infrastructure thanks to which we ensure the food security of the world, which Russia once again puts at risk, leveling all the norms of international law," Kuleba emphasized.

The head of Odesa Regional Military Administration Oleh Kiper clarified that the Russians attacked Odesa with a ballistic missile.
