Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal has said that the medical and social expert commission (MSEC) will be replaced by a new European model.

"In pursuance of the presidential decree, the MSEC will be liquidated by the end of this year, and a digital, transparent, European model for the relevant definitions will be introduced instead. In addition, today I have instructed the Minister of Health to submit all necessary regulatory documents and draft laws to the Cabinet of Ministers no later than November 1 in order to finally complete this reform," the Telegram says.

Also, according to Shmyhal, a number of personnel orders have already been implemented, in particular, the dismissal of the leadership of the central Medical and Social Expertise Commission and the heads of the relevant department of the Ministry of Health.

In addition, an audit and review of unfounded decisions on disability issued by the Medical and Social Expertise Commission will be conducted.

"This especially concerns officials. All checks will be carried out within three months. All these measures must be implemented promptly in order to eliminate the disgrace that is happening in the MSEC," the Prime Minister summed up.

As reported, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy put into effect the decision of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine of October 22, 2024 "On combating corruption and other offenses in determining the disability of government officials."
