Seventy-nine combat clashes were recorded along the entire front line since midnight on Wednesday, most of them took place on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove axes in Donetsk region, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has said on Facebook.

"The occupiers continue to use aviation, in particular guided aerial bombs, and carry out attacks in all directions of the east and south of our country, especially active on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove axes. The defense forces hold the lines and take all necessary measures to prevent a breakthrough of the defense," it said.

In the vicinity of Selydove, on the Pokrovsk axis, the enemy conducted 15 assault operations since the beginning of the day, ten attacks were repulsed, there are fierce ongoing battles in the area. On the same axis, the enemy made nine attempts to storm Ukrainian positions in the areas of Sukha Balka, Novotoretske, Promin, Lysivka, Sukhy Yar, and Kruty Yar, three combat clashes are still ongoing.

On the Kurakhove axis, 16 enemy assaults were repulsed, and three are still ongoing in the areas of Zoriane and Katerynivka.

On the Kharkiv axis, there were four military clashes, Ukrainian troops repelled three Russian attacks in the area of Vovchansk, another battle is still ongoing.

Two assault operations of the invaders were repulsed on the Kupyansk axis, four battles near Kruhliakivka, Stepova Novoselivka and Lozova are ongoing.

On the Lyman axis, the enemy with the support of aviation unsuccessfully attacked the areas of Hrekivka and Terny. On the Toretsk axis, the enemy three times unsuccessfully attacked the positions of the Ukrainian forces in the vicinity of Toretsk and Nelipivka. One enemy attack was successfully repulsed in each the Orikhove and Prydniprovsky axes.

There is one ongoing battle in the vicinity of Hryhorivka on the Kramatorsk axis. Three enemy assaults continue on the Vremiv axis near Novoukrainka and Zolota Nyva, another enemy attack was repulsed.
