Ukraine invites Austria to join Mine Action Coalition, invest in Ukrainian industry
Ukraine has invited Austria to join the Mine Action Coalition and invest in the production of electronic means of protecting the population from missiles and drones, the Defense Ministry of Ukraine said.
Deputy Defense Minister for European Integration Serhiy Boyev, during talks with Austrian Ambassador to Ukraine Arad Benkö, invited Austria to join the Mine Action Coalition and informed about the possibilities of investing in the Ukrainian industry, in particular, in the production of demining equipment and electronic means of protection of civilians from missiles and drones.
"We invite Austrian companies to localize production in Ukraine or invest in existing enterprises," he said.
In addition, the interlocutors discussed the value of the contribution of the EU Military Assistance Mission in support of Ukraine (EUMAM Ukraine). Boyev also thanked Austria for its financial, diplomatic and humanitarian support.
"Austria has already joined important initiatives to restore energy infrastructure, rehabilitate our civilians, and demining. There is potential for strengthening such cooperation," the deputy minister said.
