The Supervisory Board of the Ukrainian Cultural Foundation (UCF) approved six priority areas for 2025, which will determine the activities of the institution during the next grant season.

According to the UCF, the first area concerns the role of culture during war and involves the creation of cultural products that reflect the challenges of wartime and promote social unity.

It is noted that the second area is designed to ensure barrier-free access to cultural practices, support mental recovery, as well as inclusive working conditions in the cultural and creative industries.

"The third direction combines the digitalization of objects in frontline and de-occupied regions, decolonization of collections, support for the Ukrainian language and commemorative practices. The fourth direction involves the development of culture at the local level, which helps support cultural initiatives in the regions and attract Ukrainians to the cultural space," the statement says.

As for the fifth direction, it focuses on the development and support of the cultures of national minorities, ethnic groups and indigenous peoples of Ukraine, promoting their harmonious coexistence.

"The last direction includes the creation of programs to support artists, cultural figures and the development of creative industries and human capital as a form of resistance to Russian aggression," the Foundation added.

It is noted that the Foundation's priorities are a value framework that sets the direction of institutional movement in 2025 and will become the basis for the development and implementation of new grant programs that will help strengthen the cultural space, support Ukrainian talents, and promote the growth and development of culture in Ukraine.
