General Staff reports more than 100 combat clashes at front, airstrikes against Kurakhove, Siversk, Toretsk
The situation on the front line remains difficult, a total of 109 combat clashes were recorded since the beginning of the day as of 4 p.m. on Friday, most of all on the Kurakhove and Pokrovsk axes, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) has said on Facebook.
"In the Pokrovsk axis, since the beginning of the day, the occupiers made 23 attempts to push our defenders from their positions. […] Defense forces are holding back the pressure and repelled 17 enemy attacks, six combat clashes are still ongoing. On the Kurakhove axis, the invaders attacked 26 times. [...] Ten attempts of the occupiers to advance have already been repulsed. Also, the enemy launched an air strike on Kurakhove, dropping two aerial bombs," it said.
On the Kharkiv axis, there is a battle in the area of Vysoka Yaruha and three in the area of Vovchansk. On the Kupyansk axis, the enemy stormed the positions of Ukrainian units five times, four combat clashes continue.
With the support of bomber aviation, the occupation army made nine attacks on the Lyman axis, the fighting continues. The invaders dropped guided bombs on Yampolivka, Terny, Lyman and Torske.
On the Siversk axis, units of the Defense Forces repelled an enemy attack near Verkhniokamyanske. Siversk and Riznykivka were hit by enemy aircraft. On the Toretsk axis, there were eight enemy attacks near Toretsk and Scherbynivka, six of them were repulsed, the fighting continues, the enemy is also actively using bombing aircraft against Toretsk.
On the Vremiv axis, there are four combat clashes, the enemy dropped five guided bombs on Velyk Novosilka.
On the Orikhiv axis, the occupation forces shelled the territory controlled by the Ukrainian government, targeting civilian infrastructure and settlements.
The enemy tried to storm the Ukrainian defenders on the Prydniprovsky axis five times.
On the Kursk axis, enemy aviation and artillery continue to strike Russia's own territory. Ukrainian military have repelled ten enemy attacks since the beginning of the day, now fighting continues in eleven locations.
