Pyongyang wants to gain access to Russian technologies in missile, nuclear programs in exchange for participation in Russia's aggression against Ukraine – Sybiha
North Korea wants to gain access to Russian technologies in missile, nuclear and other military programs in exchange for its participation in Russia's aggression against Ukraine, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sybiha said, citing Ukrainian intelligence data.
“According to Ukrainian intelligence, Pyongyang is seeking to exchange its participation in the aggression against Ukraine for access to Russian technologies in missile, nuclear and other military programs. This is extremely threatening. And all this cannot but worry our partners, and therefore we must counteract such threats together,” Sybiha said at a press conference with his Japanese counterpart Iwaya Takeshi in Kyiv on Saturday.
The Ukrainian Minister stressed that only strong and systematic support for Ukraine can stop the Russian Federation and bring a comprehensive and just peace.
“The defeat of the Russian Federation in Ukraine will stop other aggressors and the entire axis of evil from aggressive plans,” Sybiha said.
He also informed that he and his Japanese counterpart discussed in detail the modalities of involving Japan in the practical implementation of the Victory Plan and the Peace Formula. In addition, the parties discussed the implementation of the agreement on support for Ukraine and cooperation signed this year by the leaders of the two countries.
“It’s about strengthening the dialogue on the issue of security at the highest level between Ukraine and Japan,” Sybiha said.
