Two dead, two wounded as occupiers shell housing district in Kostiantynivka
Two people were killed and another two were wounded as a result of Russia's attack on a housing district of Kostiantynivka, Donetsk region, on Monday, the public liaison office of Donetsk Regional Prosecutor's Office has said.
"On November 18, 2024, the Russian troops shelled Kostiantynivka from cannon artillery. Multi-apartment building came under fire. As a result of the enemy attack, a woman, 61, and a man, 68, died of fatal injuries during resuscitation efforts. In addition, a 46-year-old resident of the town and an 89-year-old elderly woman, were injured. They received medical aid," it said.
According to the prosecutor's office, those injured were outside at the moment of the attack.
Also, the facades of houses and cars were damaged.
Prosecutors are taking all necessary measures to document war crimes committed by the Russian armed forces. A pre-trial investigation has been launched into the criminal proceedings on war crimes (Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
