URCS rapid response unit helps victims of Russian missile strike on Odesa
The team of the Odesa regional rapid response unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society (URCS) helped victims of the Russian missile strike on Odesa.
"Today, Russia once again struck Odesa… Together with other rescue services, the team of the Odesa regional rapid response unit of the Ukrainian Red Cross Society worked on the scene. Volunteers took three seriously wounded people to the hospital and five victims were given first aid," the URCS reported on Facebook on Monday evening.
The URCS volunteers also provided first psychological aid to the victims and deployed a mobile heating station at the site of the shelling, where residents of damaged houses can warm up and charge their gadgets. Volunteers also provide food, hot tea and coffee to local residents and rescue workers working to eliminate the consequences of the missile strike. In addition, volunteers of the URCS Odesa regional organization provide residents of damaged houses with film for temporary repairs.
As reported, Russian occupiers launched a missile strike on residential buildings and civilian infrastructure in Odesa on Monday afternoon. As a result of the missile strike, ten people were killed. As of 21.30, some 55 people were known to have been injured, three people remain in critical condition.
