The situation on the fronts of the Russian-Ukrainian war remains difficult and tense, the enemy continues to try to break through the Ukrainian defense. Since the beginning of the day and as of 4 p.m., 102 combat clashes were recorded along the front line, the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine has said Wednesday.

More than half of them occurred on the Pokrovsk and Kurakhove axes, Donetsk region.

"Since the beginning of the day, on the Pokrovsk axis, the enemy has already made 24 attempts to push our defenders from their positions. [...] The defense forces are holding back the pressure and have currently repelled eleven enemy attacks. Enemy losses are being clarified. [...] On the Kurakhove axis, according to updated information, 21 attacks by the occupation army have been repelled today, six combat clashes are ongoing," it said on Facebook.

On the Vremiv axis, the enemy made 13 attempts to advance, two attacks are ongoing. On the Lyman axis, the invading army carried out four attacks on Ukrainian positions, on the Kramatorsk axis – one in the area of Bila Hora. On the Toretsk axis, the occupiers tried five times to displace Ukrainian units from their positions in the Toretsk area. Two attacks were repelled, three clashes are ongoing.

On the Kharkiv axis, Russian occupiers tried four times to storm the defensive lines of the Ukrainian army in the areas of Vovchansk and Tykhe, the attacks were repelled. On the Kupyansk axis, the enemy actively attacked the positions of Ukrainian units seven times: the Ukrainian military is holding the line, three clashes are ongoing.

In Kursk region, Ukrainian defenders repelled eleven attacks by Russian troops, three clashes are ongoing.

On the Prydniprovsky axis, the enemy tried three times to dislodge the Ukrainian military from their positions, but to no avail. On the Siversk, Huliaipole and Orikhiv axes, the occupiers continue to shell Ukrainian troops and civilian infrastructure. In addition, areas of the settlements of Popivka and Dmytrivka in Sumy region suffered from enemy artillery shelling from the territory of Russia.
