Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy held a telephone conversation with British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.

"We discussed another act of Russian air terror against Ukraine's civilian infrastructure using more than 90 missiles and about 100 drones. Particular attention was paid to the issue of further defense cooperation. I am grateful to the UK for its large-scale support, in particular, for its readiness to annually allocate at least GBP 3 billion for the needs of Ukraine," Zelenskyy wrote on his Telegram channel following the conversation.

In addition, the parties agreed to be in close contact with European leaders regarding steps that should put Ukraine in the strongest possible position in the face of any developments.

"I emphasized: for this, Ukraine needs an invitation to NATO and further expansion of long-range capabilities," the president said.

The interlocutors also discussed Ukraine's possible participation in the Joint Expeditionary Force summit in December in Tallinn, where Ukraine is invited by Estonia.

"This year, Ukraine became the only country that took part as an observer in the JEF Joint Protector 2024 exercises. We are interested in deepening cooperation with this association," Zelenskyy emphasized.

In addition, Zelenskyy and Starmer agreed to speed up the preparation of an agreement on a centennial partnership between Ukraine and the United Kingdom.
