Zelenskyy after meeting with new President of European Council: We’ll do everything to justly and quickly end the war
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has held a meeting with the new President of the European Council, Antonio Costa, who arrived in Kyiv on Sunday, and discussed with him the prospects for ending Russia's war against Ukraine and strengthening the European Union.
We discussed our vision for European and global affairs — current challenges and prospects … Peace is the foundation, and we will continue to do everything possible to end this war, which Russia has unleashed not only against Ukraine but also against a united Europe, as soon as possible and to strengthen Europe – both the EU institutions and the policies that support every European nation,” Zelenskyy wrote on Telegram on Sunday following the meeting.
He noted that Costa arrived in Ukraine on his first day in office and that "such a symbolic start to work reflects the main priorities of all of us in Europe." “I am grateful for the support Ukraine has received since the very first day of Russia’s full-scale invasion,” Zelenskyy added.
