Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky, reported on the situation at the front, the situation in Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions remains difficult, there are good results in defense in Zaporizhia direction, President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said.

"A report by Commander-in-Chief Oleksandr Syrsky. The general situation at the front, the protection of our positions. Kurakhove and Pokrovsk directions remain the most difficult. I am grateful to every unit that destroys the invader and restrains the Russian advance," Zelenskyy wrote on the Telegram channel on Tuesday.

"Our defense results in Zaporizhia direction are quite good," the head of state added.

He also discussed with Syrsky the actions of units of the Defense Forces in the areas of the Kursk operation.

"We continue to inflict tangible losses on Russia on its territory," Zelenskyy said.

He also noted the importance of the fact that the commander of the Ground Forces Mykhailo Drapatyi and Deputy Commander-in-Chief Oleh Apostol are starting to carry out their tasks. "We expect the effectiveness of their service in new positions, and this will directly affect the improvement of the combat capability of the Armed Forces of Ukraine," Zelenskyy summed up.
