Fifty-two air- and sea-launched cruise missiles and two Shahed kamikaze drones were destroyed in the area of responsibility of the Air Command West last night and this morning, the press service of the Ukrainian Air Force has said Friday.

"On December 13 night and in the morning, the Russian aggressor launched a combined massive missiles and air strike against critical infrastructure facilities in the area of responsibility of the Air Command West. The air defense units and aircraft of the Air Command West destroyed in their area of responsibility 52 air- and sea-launched cruise missiles Kh-101/Kh-55SM, Kalibr and two Shahed kamikaze drones," it said on the Telegram channel.

The press service also attacked a video of downing a Russian cruise missile by a mobile fire team of the Air Command West using the Igla portable anti-aircraft missile system. The destroyed missile did not cause any damage to critical infrastructure. Its wreckage was later found by the search team.

As reported, the downing of 80 cruise missiles Kh-101/Kh-5SM/Kalibr, Iskander-K, one ballistic missile Islande-M, and 80 Shahed kamikaze drones above Ukraine was confirmed as of 11:30 on Friday.
